After receiving a call from a mysterious lady called Shindou Yurika, Masaki, the main protagonist, learns that his elder sister died under mysterious circumstances. He obtains a Jazz CD from Yurika and plays it in remembrance of his sister. While listening to it he experiences soul traveling and dives into a, for him unknown, "psyche world". Later on he accidentally meets other souls and tries to find out what actually happened to his sister.

Momozu is a frumpy, indoorsy ‘hare-otoko‘, and sunny weather seems to follow him around, while Toyotama is a cheerful, athletic ‘ame-otoko‘ who’s constantly dogged by stormy weather. When the two meet and Toyotama convinces Momozu they should join a mountain-climbing club together, it’s a total case of opposites attracting!

Though very reluctant, the angel Rain has been chosen as one of the four candidates in for consideration to become the next god. He and the four other candidates will decend to earth for one year so that they may perform a test to determine their suitability for the position, with the ability to reveal their true identity to one human being of earth.
Thus, Natsume Shirou, a very normal high schooler with dreams of becoming a teacher, is chosen by the angel Rain to be the help. When at home, as he lives alone, he spends most of his time with his little sister collection, fawning over anything little sister related. Other than them, his only other conversation companion is a stuffed rabbit memento of his long deceased older sister. But one day, the rabbit starts speaking out of nowhere, and claims its feeling for Yamato won't lose to anyone else. After transforming into a woman with rabbit ears, she states she is his sister, coming from Heaven to give him a single wish from God.

Five years ago, a mysterious Akuma appeared... However, one man stopped the Akuma in its tracks: his name is Alalakit. The story starts off with Jikeina and Santa. Jikeina is Santa's older brother, and they made a living by getting rid of monsters or stopping monsters from invading a village. However, Santa has a mark on his left hand; it is the mark of the Akuma. Actually, it's the mark of "Mahou's Power." There are 108 of the Akuma's powers, and they are passed down to "successors." Each animal who has the blood of the Akuma is changed into a youkai, but only the most powerful of the lot are given one of the Akuma's powers, and they will have a mark on a part of their body as evidence that they inherited the power of the Akuma. Santa has the symbol of a star on his hand, and on it is the number 0. In a battle with a youkai who has the Mahou's Power of fire, Jikeina is separated from Santa, and Santa had just discovered what is his Mahou power... it's something to do with the mouth on his stomach... Alone, Santa travels to all kinds of places, making new friends, defeating new enemies, and learning the secret of the Akuma, whilst seeking Jikeina.

Originally owned by his great grandfather, the estate has been traditionally an inn that had many people living in it but, as of lately, it has become vacant due to Ashita losing his parents. As Ashita tries to revive the mansion in remembrance of his parents, he is surprised by a young girl looking vampire named Noi and her servant Sesera who claims to own the place.According to Noi, she lent the mansion to Ashita’s great grandfather in return for maintaining the building until Noi returns. As a vampire, Noi has super strength, the ability to turn into mist and can cast various spells. She has a powerful dark aura that attracts evil spirits and, because of that, Noi has had to constantly be on the move. But because of that, she has been abandoned by her family and friends. Ashita decides to let Noi and Sesera stay and is determined to start a new chapter in the Tachimori Mansion history.
